The government is launching plans to make health insurance for every newborn baby compulsory. Resources Deputy Behbod Pourshetaban at the Iran Health Insurance said as part of the national health insurance, every citizen should have a number in their national identity card indicating that they have received health insurance coverage, reports ISNA. He said the number will be required for school registration and obtaining a passport.
