Military Presence in Syria in Framework of Bilateral Ties

Iran and Syria are two independent countries and no third party or state needs to interfere with Iran’s presence in the Arab country.

“The presence of Iran’s military advisers in Syria is in the framework of the Tehran-Damascus relations and nobody should to intervene in this matter,” Hossein Amir Abdollahian, a senior foreign policy advisor to the parliament speaker, said in a meeting with the  Australian Ambassador to Tehran Ian Biggs on Monday, Fars News Agency reported.

The two sides also discussed the 50 years of bilateral relations, including parliamentary ties. Amir Abdollahian congratulated the 50th anniversary of two-way ties and said, “The two countries’ tourism relations indicate the quality of ties between our two nations.”

The Australian envoy lauded the long-standing relations between the two countries, and said, “Australia seeks expansion of ties in all fields.”
