Venezuela has experienced malicious US policies, Foreign Minister of Venezuela Jorge Arreaza said, adding that Caracas condemns Washington’s unilateral measures against other countries. Arreaza made the remark Saturday in a meeting with Iranian first deputy foreign minister, Morteza Sarmadi, in Caracas, IRNA reported.
He slammed the unilateral US policies saying its withdrawal from the historic Iran nuclear deal “is a sign of disrespect for international agreements and treaties.” Arreaza appreciated Iran’s role in fighting terrorism and stressed Iran’s strategic vision in promoting stability in the Middle East. Sarmadi, for his part, underlined high-level bilateral relations between the two countries in regional and international fields. He condemned the US administration’s unilateral policies. Sarmadi described US violations of global commitments and agreements “as indication of expansionist policies and a threat to international peace and security.” During the meeting both sides discussed ways to reinforce bilateral ties in political, economic, trade and cultural fields.
