    Rouhani to Visit China

    The presidential chief of staff, Mahmoud Vaezi, said Wednesday that President Hassan Rouhani will visit China within weeks. Vaezi said that Rouhani will travel to Beijing during the current Iranian month which ends on June 21, Mehr News Agency reported. He did not announce the exact date. Rouhani has been invited by the president of FIFA to attend the opening ceremony of the upcoming World Cup in Russia in June 14 but is unlikely go there due to his busy schedule, he said. In response to a question about the president’s possible visits to Switzerland and Austria, he said his office has received invitations from the two countries. The visits would probably take place after the end of the fasting month of Ramadan in mid-July.
