Bahman Motor Delivers Haval H2

During the ceremony to deliver the first series of the Haval H2 to customers, Bahman Motor CEO Hamid Davoudzadeh announced that Haval H6 will arrive in the market in October.

While the private Iranian automaker had promised a June delivery for the SUV model H2, they moved ahead of schedule to surprise customers to deliver several units of the model and also announced a date for the launch of the H6 into the country’s market, reported Asbe Bokhar.

Haval is an automotive marque owned by the Chinese automaker Great Wall Motors which specializes in crossovers and SUVs.

Under the hood of the Haval H2 is a 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine generating 110 kW of power at 5,600 rpm along with 210 Nm of torque between 2,200 and 4,500 rpm. 

Matched to a six-speed automatic gearbox, the H2 has a 7.0-inch touchscreen with a quick-to-re-pair Bluetooth connection and USB/SD inputs.

The Haval H6 is the best-selling SUV in China and meets the Euro5 emission standards.

Two specification levels are available, the base Premium and the flagship Lux. Bahman Motor will most likely produce the Premium with 17-inch alloys, blind spot monitoring, six airbags, parking sensors, rear-view camera, keyless start, 7.0-inch screen, Bluetooth/USB, climate control, privacy glass and rear air vents.

The vehicle is equipped with a 2.0-liter turbocharged gasoline engine with 145 kW at 5,200rpm and 315Nm at 2,000 rpm.

The Haval H6 Premium is currently priced at $29,990 in the international market. Since the Haval H2, priced $24,990 in the global market is estimated to be sold at around 1.1 billion rials ($26,000), the H6 model will not exchange hands at less than 1.32 billion rials ($31,400).

Bahman Group is also to launch production of the off-road Haval H9 in the coming months.

The company also makes Mazda 3 and Besturn B30, both of which have experienced an exponential year-on-year increase in their production. 

During the last fiscal, which ended in March, the company produced 11,326 cars bearing the emblem of Mazda and Besturn.

Mazda 3’s production jumped by129%, while Besturn’s output was jacked up a staggering 320%.
