    Lebanese Speaker Proposes Iran-Saudi Talks

Negotiations between Iran and Saudi Arabia are an urgent need, says the speaker of the Lebanese Parliament, Nabih Berri. In a talk with IRNA published on Saturday, Berri said, “There are many commonalities between Iran and Arab countries.” While referring to Beit-ul-Moqaddas and the recent US decision to recognize the city as Israel’s capital, the Lebanese lawmaker urged Iran and Saudi Arabia to enter into a dialogue “to save the city from Judaization.” If the dangers facing Beit-ul-Moqaddas are not an enough incentive for the Arab, Islamic and Christian communities to get together, then nothing can protect them, he warned. Iran has often emphasized reciprocal respect in its relations with other countries and has expressed readiness to hold talks with regional countries to help address  problems and promote peace and stability, Berri said.
