Francesco Rocca, the president of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies and the president of Italian Red Cross, is in Iran on an official visit.
IFRC president arrived in Tehran on Sunday for a two-day visit. He met Ali Asghar Peyvandi, the president of the Iranian Red Crescent Society, to discuss IRCS operations on national and international disasters.
Rocca is also to hold talks with IRCS youth to learn about their activities.
On the second day of his visit, the IFRC chief will participate in a ceremony to honor the dedication of IRCS volunteers and relief workers.
In addition, Rocca will hold a press conference in Tehran and visit Iranian Red Crescent Museum.
