A red lake in a green forest is the destination of a one-day trip to Mazandaran Province.
Organized by Spilet Alborz travel agency, the tour is slated for April 13, starting at 5 am and ending before midnight.
The tour starts from Argentina Square, takes Chalus Road (Road 59) for about five hours before arriving in the forest five kilometers southwest of the picturesque Chalus city.
A light forest trekking is planned which is estimated to take about two hours. The path leads to Hesel Wetland where the group will have chicken kebab for lunch. The color of the lake has turned red because of algae growing there.
