Table tennis player Nima Alamian won a bronze medal at the International Table Tennis Federation 2018 Challenge, Spanish Open in Guadalajara, Spain, March 28-April 1.
Alamian beat Austrian rival David Serdaroglu 4-0 in his first match. In the next he humbled Maksim Kiselev from Russia 4-1, according to the International Table Tennis federation website.
The 25-year-old Iranian continued his winning streak to overcome Diogo Carvalho from Portugal 4-3 in a hard-fought match. Vitor Ishiy was the next rival before the semifinal game. The Brazilian too was defeated 4-1.
After that Alamian was not very lucky and lost the semis to the Austrian Robert Gardos 4-1 and failed to enter the finals.
He won against the South Korean rival Cho Seungmin to win the bronze. Kim Minhyeok and Robert Gardos won gold and silver respectively.
A total of 124 table tennis players participated the games in the male category.
