The Iran Wrestling Federation has announced the list of freestyle and Greco-Roman wrestlers for the Senior Asian Championships in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, February 28-March 4.
According to the federation website, for each weight category the federation has announced one wrestler, which means 10 wrestlers in each team.
The list of freestyle wrestlers includes: 2016 Rio Olympics champion Hassan Yazdani in the 86kg class, Nader Hajagha in 57kg, Iman Sadeghi (61kg), Yunes Emami (65kg), Seyyed Ahmad Mohammadi (70kg), Mostafa Hosseinkhani (74kg), Ezzatollah Akbari (79kg) Mohammad-Javad Ebrahimi (92kg), Mojtaba Gelij (97kg) and heavy-weight Amin Taheri in the 125kg category.
Head coach Rasool Khadem and Mohammad Talaei as coach will company the team to the Central Asian state.
Greco-Roman wrestlers attending the games will include Reza Khedri (55kg); Mehrdad Mardani (60kg), Keramat Abdevali (63kg), Mohammad Eliasi (67kg), Majid Khalili (72kg), Mohammad-Ali Geraei (78kg), Yusef Qaderian (82kg), Hossein Nouri (87kg), Seyyed Mostafa Salehizadeh (97kg) and Behnam Valizadeh in the 130kg class.
Ali Ashkani is the head coach.
