The comedy musical ‘The Legend of Golabad’ is currently showing in local cinemas.
Directed by Mohammadreza Abbasnejad, the story is inspired by a famous character from Iranian folk tales, ‘Hassan, the Bald’, a notoriously lazy little boy.
However, in the movie, Hassan is a young man and not bald but still lazy, living in the village of Golabad (literally meaning flower land). Since childhood family and friends have tried umpteen ways to change him but to no avail.
Flor Nazari, Farhad Besharati, Sousan Parvar, Mohammad-Ali Sareban, Mohammad Tavakkol and Amir Keyvan Masoumi are in the cast, Cinematicket wrote.
Kourosh, Megamall and Kian cineplexes are showing the film in Tehran.
