An advisor to the parliament speaker decried the presence of US military forces in Syria without the consent of the Damascus government, saying Washington is pursuing its vicious objectives in the guise of supporting Syrian Kurds. In a meeting with the Palestinian ambassador in Tehran on Thursday, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian warned against the establishment of US military bases inside Syria. Washington is pursuing its own and Israel’s rogue plots under the pretext of backing the Kurdish forces in Syria, he noted, Tasnim News Agency reported. Amir-Abdollahian also denounced the US president’s move to recognize the city of Beit-ul-Moqaddas as the capital of Israel, saying the holy city will remain an indispensable and eternal part of Palestine. Salah al-Zawawi, the Palestinian envoy, slammed Trump as a puppet of the Zionist regime, calling for stronger unity in the Muslim world.
