    Bandar Lengeh Non-Oil Exports Rise 61%

    Director of Ports and Maritime Organization in Bandar Lengeh Mahmoud Saberi said 493,763 tons of non-oil goods were exported from the southern port in the first seven months of the current fiscal year (March 21 to Oct. 22), indicating a 61% increase compared with the same period of the preceding year.

    He added that during the same period, a total of 739,154 tons of goods were loaded and unloaded in this port, of which 738,674 tons pertained to non-oil goods and 480 tons to oil products.

    During the period, 218,2 TEU containers were loaded and unloaded in this port, which shows a 258% increase compared with the same period of last year. Non-oil goods transit from this port reached to 98,340 tons, which shows a 128% increase year-on-year, Khabar Online reported.

    Bandar Lengeh, as the main port in the west of Hormozgan Province, is located 240 kilometers west of Bandar Abbas, the capital of Hormozgan Province.
