About 130 tons of expired tea has been detected and will be converted to compost soon. The expiry date of the tea is more than three years from the date of production, said Gudarz Khordadpour, deputy of tea marketing regulations at the Iran Tea Organization. The compost can be used by greenhouse owners. Even 1 kg of expired tea will not be allowed to enter the market, he said, quoted by the Iranian Agriculture News Agency.
