Tehran will host an international conference on material flow cost accounting (MFCA) from September 19 to 21, the National Iranian Productivity Organization’s website reported. Leading experts from Germany, Thailand, India, Malaysia, Japan, Taiwan and Vietnam, along with participants from 11 member states of the Asian Productivity Organization, are expected to attend the event. MFCA is a management tool that assists organizations to better understand the potential environmental and financial consequences of their material and enables companies to identify the added value they lose as a result of material losses. It does so by assessing the physical material flows in a company or a supply chain and by assigning adequate associated costs to these flows.
