A special sale opened at Shams Art Gallery last week and is offering artworks of renowned artists. Paintings, sculptures, calligraphy, calligraphic paintings and photos are priced between 3 million rials ($77) to 30 million rials ($777), Tiwall reported. Artworks are from 50 artists including acclaimed figures such as painter Nasser Oveysi, 83; caricaturist and cartoonist Kambiz Derambakhsh, 74; painter Jamshid Samavatian, 78; painter and sketch artist Bahram Dabiri, 65; painter Bahman Boroujeni, 75; and calligrapher Omid Khakbaz. The sale opened August 25 and will run through September 1. Shams Gallery is located at No. 10, Khansefid Alley, northern end of Pasdaran Street, west of Niavaran Cultural Center.
