‘Dance of Life’ at UNWTO Video Competition

Iran is competing with 63 countries seeking to promote their tourism industry. ‘Dance of Life,’ the Iranian clip, is focused on water, displaying the less known cultures in Iran’s drought-stricken regions

Iran has participated in a video contest held by the United Nations’ World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) with a video clip titled ‘Dance of Life.’

UNWTO’s Tourism Video Competition was launched this year on the occasion of the 22nd session of the UNWTO general assembly slated for September 11-16 in Chengdu, China.

The competition is open to all UNWTO member states. It provides the  member states with a great opportunity to showcase their creative works in tourism promotion, IRNA reported.

Iran is competing with 63 countries seeking to promote their tourism industry. ‘Dance of Life,’ the Iranian clip, is focused on water, displaying the less known cultures in Iran’s drought-stricken regions.

Participating videos are all parts of official national tourism campaigns from the year 2011 onwards.

Awards are given in two categories: one decided by the jury and the other as people’s choice. Winners will be announced at the general assembly.

People’s Choice Award will be based on an online poll open to the public on the UNWTO website: lmd.unwto.org/unwto-tourism-video-competition-2017.

Visitors to the website can vote for their favorite video. Voting will be open until September 11 and voters have to fill out a simple electronic form.
