More than 95% of graduates in technical subjects find employment soon after leaving school, says Mostafa Azarkish, director of Vocational and Technical Subjects Office at the Education Ministry. “There are 350,000 students studying in 4,100 vocational schools in Iran,” he was quoted as saying by the ministry’s website, Medu.ir. The official said vocational schools offer 153 programs in a variety of fields, from agriculture to the arts.
