Heavy rainfall on Thursday and Friday caused flooding in Iranshahr and Mehrestan counties in Sistan-Baluchistan Province, said Gholamreza Arbabi, director general of Crisis Management Office at the provincial governorate.
Only one casualty, a four-year-old who lost her life after a building collapsed, has been reported.
Some 25 villages in Iranshahr County were severely affected by flooding.
Rescue and relief teams were sent to affected villages to provide contingency services, IRNA reported.
The services include transferring the injured to hospitals, draining of flood waters from residences, and providing emergency shelter.
