Acclaimed Iranian musician, composer and orchestra conductor Nasser Cheshmazar will soon release his latest composition ‘Miracle of Peace’.
Cheshmazar, famous for his memorable film scores, has been working on the upcoming piece since last year, ISNA reported.
In an earlier interview, he had spoken on urgency of the efforts for promotion of peace and raising awareness on human rights, when there are numerous instances of war and violence across the globe. He is now going to offer the ‘Miracle of Peace’ as his contribution to the cause.
Cheshmazar, 66, has also arranged the piece. It is sung by Iranian composer, singer and arranger Damon Nourdin, 36.
“Naturally, when a composer is to work with a singer, it is the voice of the vocalist that should be to his liking before anything else. Fortunately, this is true about me working with Damon Nourdin. Both his voice and character are pleasant,” Cheshmazar said.
The lyrics of the piece are by songwriter Marjan Torab who, in recent years, has written a number of lyrics for Nourdin’s compositions. The song, in sum, is an invitation to peace and serenity.
‘Miracle of Peace’ is funded by producer Behnam Mirahmadi. About him, Cheshamazar said, “our collaboration went well. I hope it will continue in the future.”
“Last year, aghast by the conflicts and violence spread around the globe, we decided to bring out the piece. It is a disappointing situation that we should still witness such heartrending incidents across the world,” Mirahmadi said.
“The twin Islamic State-claimed attacks in Tehran (on June 7) made us accelerate our efforts in preparing the piece. ‘Miracle of Peace’ is in Persian but our approach was beyond national and geographical limits. Those who have listened to the work believe that it could do the intended purpose,” he added.
In a few days, ‘Miracle of Peace’ will be released. It will soon be followed by a music video. The briefing conference and unveiling ceremony of the piece will be informed, Mirahmadi added.
Cheshmazar plays the piano in the work. He is accompanied by Homayoun Rahimian, Meysam Marvasti and Milad Alami on violin; Karim Qorbani plays the cello and Soharb Brahmandi is on viola.
