Kia Literary Agency to Present 50 Books at Frankfurt, Beijing Fairs

Kia Literary Agency, based in Tehran, will present over 50 contemporary works of Iran literature at the book fairs in China and Germany.

Participating in the Beijing International Book Fair, August 23-27 in China, and the Frankfurt Book Fair, October 11-15 in Germany, the agency will present a catalogue titled ‘Copyright’ in which over 50 books by Iranian authors and illustrators are introduced, director of the agency Lili Hayeri Yazdi said.

In addition, Kia will showcase works of fiction by acclaimed writers including ‘Democracy or DemoCrazy’ by Seyed Mehdi Shojaei, ‘Fellow Travelers’ by Mohammadreza Bayrami (winner of Book of the Year of the Islamic Republic of Iran), ‘Ranger’ by Ahmad Dehqan and ‘Saint’ by Ebrahim Hasanbeigi among many others.

At the Asian and European book fairs, Kia Agency will present titles by well-known publishers Neyestan, Fatemi, Hoopa and many more and also introduce works of prominent authors and illustrators in the field of children and young adults, Mehr News Agency reported.

The latest book by illustrator Alireza Goldouzian will also be displayed at the fairs. The poetry book titled ‘Onions Legend’ is written by the 14-year-old girl Fatemeh Zahra (Narsis) Emami who has received an honorary mention at the 2016 Worldwide UNESCO Club Youth Multimedia Competition in the US.

Kia Literary Agency was founded in 2002 in Tehran with the aim of promoting and supporting fine literary works in all forms from all over the world. It provides opportunities for authors, illustrators, publishers, translators and others in the field to meet their counterparts. At the same time it keeps them informed of events that take place in the world of art and literature.
