Two Painting Exhibits at Shirin Gallery

Two painting exhibitions of Iranian artists opened at Shirin Gallery in Tehran on Friday.

According to a press release from the gallery, ‘Colorful Universe’ is the title of Amir Bakhtiar Sanjabi’s exhibit in which the artist has displayed his large abstract artworks.

The abstract paintings, acrylics on canvas, are demonstrations of the inner perception of the artist. “Many of the paintings are the result of an instantaneous inspiration which I have transferred on canvas,” said a statement by Sanjabi.

Born in Tehran, Sanjabi, 42, began to learn different painting techniques under the tutelage of the renowned painter Idin Aghdashloo including water-color, oil, acrylic and gouache painting as well as pastel and color-pencil drawing.

Although as a professional painter he has created lots of drawings, sketches and geometric paintings, the displayed works are different and focus on his abstract productions.

  Peaceful Paintings

The other exhibit at the gallery are artworks by Reza Hedayat, 51, who, with an abundance of colors, has created a colorful realm of animals, birds and humans that conveys a sense of peace and tranquility.

A university professor of art his works have featured in several individual and group exhibitions.

The artworks of both artists are on display at the gallery, located at No. 5, 13th St., Sanaee St., Karimkhan Zand Ave., until May 17.
