The governor of the Central Bank of Iran, Valiollah Seif, predicted the Iranian economy to grow and inflation to see further declines. Seif forecasted the economy would expand by three percent in the current fiscal year, which ends in March 2015. He also expects this year’s average inflation to be 17 percent, while he predicted the figure to fall to between 14 to 15 percent for next year. The governor went on to say that forecasts generally point to a single digit inflation figure for the fiscal year which starts in March 20, 2016.
