    Dense Fog in Khuzestan

Dense fog brought power cuts to many residential and office buildings in 11 counties in Khuzestan Province since Friday night. “Dense fog (100% humidity) is cited as the main cause for the power disruptions as it has caused problems on power transmission circuits,” said Hashem Baldi, director general of Khuzestan Crisis Management Office on Saturday. All schools in the affected counties were closed on Saturday due to the problem. Additionally, all offices, banks, universities and higher education institutes were also closed on Saturday in Ahvaz, Bavi, Karoun, Hamidiyeh, Mahshahr, Hendijan, Hoveizeh, Dasht-e Azadegan, Abadan, Khorramshahr, and Shadegan cities, IRNA quoted him as saying. Fog comprises visible cloud water droplets or ice crystals suspended in the air at or near the Earth’s surface. Fog can be considered a type of low-lying cloud.
