    More Women in Medical Education

    During the last few years the number of female students attending universities of medical sciences has exceeded the number of males, in particular in the fields of pharmacy and nursing, said Dr Jebraeel Nasl Seraji, a senior official in Medical Education Department at the Health Ministry. According to the National Organization for Educational Testing, this year (started March 20), 1,147 PhD students were accepted to universities of medical sciences, of whom 62% were female students and 38% men, salamatnews.com reported. Currently, there are 44 universities of medical science across the country which offer quality medical education.
