The 18th Beijing-Hong Kong Economic Cooperation Symposium kicked off in Beijing on Tuesday. Participants from both sides will focus on the promotion of high tech projects in the development of both cities, CCTV reported. Also, officials are expected to finalize a deal to include Hong Kong investors in a new project to build a subway line 16 in Beijing. From January to September this year, Hong Kong companies have invested a total of $33.2b in Beijing. On the other hand, Beijing companies’ investments in Hong Kong have reached $4.2b.
