The Football Federation of Iran has received a fraction of its blocked money at the Federation Internationale de Football Association.
The FIFA fund was awarded to teams that reached World Cup 2014 in Brazil, ISNA reported.
Earlier, an advisor to FFIRI president for international affairs, Hamid Reza Asefi, had put the total sum at around $3 million, frozen by sanctions in American banks.
FIFA, the international governing body of association football, futsal and beach soccer, is responsible for the organization of football’s major international tournaments.
