Heading a 30-member economic delegation, Iran’s Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif arrived in Prague on the last leg of his tour of Eastern Europe on Thursday night. On Friday, Zarif met with Chairman of the Czech Republic’s Chamber of Deputies, Jan Hamacek, IRNA reported. Later in the day, the Iranian official held a meeting with his Czech counterpart, Lubomir Zaoralek. A memorandum of understanding was signed between the two sides to expand political ties. On Thursday, Zarif held meetings with his Slovak counterpart, Miroslav Lajcak, in Bratislava. The Iranian minister also held a meeting with Slovak President Andrej Kiska and Prime Minister Robert Fico. On Wednesday, Zarif and his accompanying delegation met with Romania’s top officials, including President Klaus Iohannis, Prime Minister Dacian Ciolos, Foreign Minister Lazar Comanescu and President of the Chamber of Deputies Florin Iordanche, in Bucharest.
