The Department of Environment (DOE), the oil ministry and the energy ministry are working together in order to reduce and eventually cease mazut production in refineries, due to it being "highly pollutant" Masoumeh Ebtekar, head of the DOE was quoted by Shana news agency as saying. "Mazut will be replaced with gas or liquefied gas if necessary," Ebtekar said.
