Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif on Tuesday met a visiting parliamentary delegation from Denmark and explored avenues for expansion of ties between the two countries. The Danish delegation was led by Soren Espersen, chairman of the Foreign Policy Committee of Danish Parliament, Tasnim News Agency reported. At the meeting in Tehran, Zarif and Espersen reviewed issues of mutual interest, particularly economic ties in the post-sanctions era. They also voiced deep concern about the deterioration of humanitarian situation in the region caused by ongoing conflicts in Syria, Iraq, Yemen and Afghanistan, and called for diplomatic efforts to help restore peace and stability to the region.
