The minister of health criticized the “glamorous way some doctors are presented in the media” saying the standard of living for many doctors is lower than the average population. Dr. Hassan Hashemi who was addressing a gathering of philanthropists said ‘’a doctor faces tough situations from the time of his or her entry into medical school; male doctors are drafted for military service and often continue their studies late into life,”ISNA reported.
