Swedish Artist’s ‘Perspective’ at IAF

A collection of illustrations created by prolific graphic artist Mattias Adolfsson from Sweden is to go on display at Iranian Artists Forum (IAF) in Tehran.

The exhibition titled ‘Perspective’ opens on October 6 at Mirmiran Gallery of the IAF. The opening ceremony is from 6-8 pm and on the following days the exhibition is open between 1pm and 8 pm. It will run through October 10.

Today, (Oct.5) from 3-5 pm, a seminar will be held at IAF’s Amirkhani Hall for a review and discussion on Adolfsson’s works.

The seminar and exhibition is organized under the auspices of the Iranian Illustrators Society.

Adolfsson, 50, is a successful freelance illustrator who lives in Sigtuna Municipality outside the city of Stockholm.

He has worked with everything from computer games to children’s books and has been commissioned by the New York Times Magazine, The Onion, an American digital media company and news satire organization that publishes articles on international, national, and local news and Spotify, a digital music service.

Adolfsson’s drawings feature infectious characters, fantastical worlds, sci-fi elements, and gentle, pleasing colors.

He has released 4 personal books. In 2014, ‘The Second in Line, from the Sketchbooks of Mattias Adolfsson’, published by Sanatorium Publishing House won ‘The Most Beautiful Swedish Book’ title from Svensk Bokkonst (Swedish Book Art Association).
