Syria Terror Attacks Condemned

Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesman condemned the recent spate of terrorist attacks that have killed dozens of civilians across Syria, linking the bombings to the defeats suffered by terrorist groups in the battlefield. Bahram Qasemi on Monday also expressed Iran’s sympathy with the Syrian government and nation over the death of tens of innocent civilians in terrorist attacks in Tartus, Homs, Hasakah and outskirts of Damascus, Tasnim News Agency reported. He said the targeting of civilians is the sign of the defeat of terrorists and their regional supporters in their military confrontation with the Syrian Army, saying their failure to realize their dreams in the region has made them commit heinous crimes and create terrible and distressing scenes in Syria, Iraq and Yemen. Qasemi called on the international community not to remain indifferent to the organizers, supporters and perpetrators of such abhorrent crimes and fulfill the duty of stemming terrorism with serious resolve. The death toll from the string of bomb attacks across mostly government-controlled areas of Syria rose to at least 48 people on Monday.
