In a meeting between Gonzalez Martin, dean of the Faculty of Linguistics at University of Salamanca in Spain, and Mohammad Baqer Qahramani, vice president for international affairs at Tehran University, on Monday, the two sides discussed ways to develop bilateral academic cooperation. Memorandums of understanding to develop academic, educational and scientific cooperation as well as joint educational research programs were signed by the two sides. They agreed on exchange programs of Spanish and Persian literature students, as well as holding joint conferences, Mehr News Agency reported. Founded in 1134, it is the top-ranking university in the southwestern European country based on the number of students coming from other regions, attracting more than 2,000 foreign students each year.
