A growing number of Iranians have volunteered to fight terrorism in Syria, the head of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps' Public Relations Department announced. "Today, we are facing a growing wave of demands for being sent to Syria, and many young people from different parts of Iran and different ethnic groups have volunteered," Ramezan Sharif said on Wednesday, Fars News Agency reported. Iran is assisting Syria in its campaign against militancy by providing military advice, but says has not dispatched any regular combat forces to the war-ravaged Arab country.
