A specialized dialysis equipment called ‘Dialysis Machine 5008’ was unveiled by the Iranian Red Crescent Society (IRCS) on Wednesday at the 19th Iran Health International Exhibition that opened in Tehran on May 15. Dialysis treatment with the equipment can be fully performed without the support of any additional devices, said Javad Fallah, an IRCS official, IRNA reported. He said the machine can increase patients’ surveillance rate by 40% and can significantly reduce adverse effects of dialysis on cardiovascular health. Nearly 600 medical equipment companies including 70 from Europe, Japan and South Korea are participating in the exhibition.
