President Hassan Rouhani congratulated Dilma Rousseff on her victory in Brazil’s presidential election to secure a second term in office.
Rousseff narrowly won re-election on October 26 with over 51 percent of the vote, press TV reported. In a separate message, Rouhani also felicitated the Turkish president, government and people October 29, Turkey’s Republic Day. In a message to President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Rouhani said promotion of relations between the two neighbors would help promote stability in the region.
