In a meeting with Tajikistan’s Minister of Science and Education Nuriddin Saidov on Sunday, Iran’s ambassador to Dushanbe, Hojatollah Faghani and cultural attaché, Ebrahim Khodayar emphasized the scientific-academic cooperation between the two countries. The two sides discussed the plans to provide scholarships as per the MoUs signed with Iranian universities, including Tehran’s Tarbiat Modares University, Shahid Beheshti University and K.N. Toosi University of Technology, IRNA reported. They also agreed to resume Persian language courses, participation of Tajik university chancellors in the upcoming first ‘Meeting of Persian-Language University Heads in Iran’, holding cultural programs by the Iranian Embassy and cooperation in publishing Persian-language books.
