    Rural Development Budget Meager

As little as 4% of Iran’s budget are allocated for rural development, according to deputy president for development of rural areas, Nasser Zargar. “Iran’s budgeting is urban-centered,” he has been quoted as saying by ISNA. His comments come as the government is drafting the budget bill for the 2016-17 fiscal year (starting March 20, 2016) before it is submitted to the parliament for the final approval, ISNA reported.
