The Producer Price Index of the mining sector during the four quarters to September 22, 2015, which marks the end of summer, increased 20.1% compared to last year’s corresponding period, the Statistical Center of Iran reported. The PPI in summer is down 6.6% compared to spring and registers 3.6% decrease over last summer. The SCI attributes the 6.6% fall to the “Metal Ore Extraction” sub-index.
