A deputy for the minister of science and higher education announced that more than $330 million were allocated for students’ scientific associations in the current year. Dr. Zia Hashemi who was attending a science seminar in the southern city of Shiraz, said 37% of the associations are in the field of humanities, ISNA reported. He added that he is not yet “satisfied with the status quo” and support for scientific associations should continue.
