The first production line for MS drugs was inaugurated on Wednesday at Dr. Abidi’s, one of the most reputed pharmaceutical companies in Iran.
As a first, ‘Dimethyl fumarate’ for MS patients will be produced, said Seyed Amir Razavian, head of the firm.
The drug was produced five years ago for the first time abroad, but now it will be domestically produced, IRNA quoted him as saying.
By the end of the current Iranian year (March 20, 2016), two other MS and cancer drugs will also be produced, he said.
The firm, located in Tehran produces medical equipment and pharmaceuticals.
