Alborz and Sistan-Baluchestan provinces have the highest and lowest divorce rates in the country, respectively. Most of divorces are in the age group 25-29 for both men and women, said Athareh Nezhadi, deputy to the vice-president in women and family affairs, Khabaronline reported. The average rate of divorce in rural areas is 21.8% and 39.6% in urban areas, she added.
