The Iranian Blood Transfusion Organization is organizing a ‘selfie contest’ on the occasion of National Blood Transfusion Day (July 31). Selfies are photographs taken of oneself, typically with a smartphone in either hand or stick-held digital camera. Following the huge reception by people during the holy month of Ramadan and their eagerness to capture a shot of themselves donating blood, the IBTO decided to organize the contest to encourage more donations. The contest is open for entries from July 20 till August 2 at selfi@ibto.ir.
