Iran is building a satellite for environmental purposes. The images to be captured by the ‘Zafar’ satellite could be used in tracking and spotting oil resources and mines; exploring woods and salt lands; identifying botanical diseases and preventing natural disasters, IRNA quoted Hossein Bolandi, head of the center for satellite research in Tehran’s Elm-O-San’at University, as saying.
