The spokesperson for the Interior Ministry told IRNA on Sunday the ministry plans to buy 95,000 electronic ballot boxes for the Feb. 26, 2016 parliamentary and Assembly of Experts elections. The Cabinet has recently agreed to electronic voting in nine metropolises.
Hossein Ali Amiri said, “The upcoming elections will be held electronically in some provinces and metropolises and the administration… is ready for its first experience.”
He added that the ground has been prepared to ensure security for holding “glorious” elections.
