Four new branches of Parto Institution, a non-government organization (NGO) that provides support to working children, are to be inaugurated in Tehran by the end of the current Iranian year (March 20, 2016), said Reza Jahangiri, deputy director of the State Welfare Organization. “One way to empower families and reduce working children is to support NGOs involved in alleviating child labor,” he said, Mehr News Agency reported. The eight branches of the NGO so far have reached out to 3,000 working children providing them with educational facilities, clothes, food and hygiene and medical care.
