The 13th Tehran International Exhibition of Flowers, Plants, Park Equipment, and Related Industries will open on May 11 at the Tehran Municipality’s Specialized Exhibition Center.
“This year 250 local and 28 international producers will offer their products in the field of roses and bulbous flower cultivation, gardening and greenhouse equipment, and seeds and fertilizer production,” IRNA quoted Ali Mohammad Mokhtari, head of the municipality’s Tehran Parks and Green Spaces Organization, as saying.
Among the participating countries are Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Spain, Turkey, China, Armenia, and South Korea. A number of educational workshops and brochures on plants and gardening will also be presented on the sidelines of the exhibition.
Flower-laden caravans will tour the city during the exhibition period as in the previous years, “to create happiness, joy, and visual delight.”
Lower Rates
Gardening enthusiasts can purchase products exclusively on May 16 (a day after the fair closes) and none of the showcased items will be on sale during the event.
“In cooperation with producers and the country’s unions of flowers and plants, the products will be offered at 20 to 30% lower than the market prices,” said Mokhtari.
The exhibition mainly seeks to promote the culture of gardening, be a platform for public participation in increasing green spaces, motivate people to grow plants, introduce rare and various types of flora, support local producers, attract investors, and be a platform for entrepreneurship in the field. The exhibition will run for 5 days from 10 am to 9 pm at the southern entrance of Tehran’s Goftegoo Park.
