The deputy manager of the Iranian Nomad Organization, Mirvali Safarzadeh, announced that all nomad population -- 17% of which already have insurance coverage -- will receive social security insurance before the yearend (started March 21). Every nomad is already given health insurance coverage. Constituting 1.7% of Iran’s total population, nomads have a population of 1.2 million covering 27% of total husbandry activities in the country.
