Iranian markets are not open to products that don’t contribute to people’s health, and this is the reason for greater restrictions on imports of nutritional supplements, said Dr. Rasoul Dinarvand, head of the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
“This year nutritional supplement imports have been further curbed compared to the previous year,” Mehr News Agency quoted him as saying.
Health supplements should be produced in the country. “Import of essential products like medicines which are not manufactured here will certainly be allowed, and the people won’t be deprived of their medical needs,” he assured.
